Madoff is an Amateur. Join the revolution.
There has been much outrage about Bernie Madoff's so called Ponzi scheme. The outrage is totally justified. Madoff defrauded thousands of innocent unsuspecting victims out of billions of dollars. But, as the old saying goes “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Not to disparage any of the victims, they were lured in by people and friends they trusted. Madoff had the credentials of a qualified investment professional. People invested with him for years reaping in confidence building returns. With this, Madoff created a team of unsuspecting co-conmen. Early investors lured in trusted friends and colleagues with the regular unprecedented returns they thought they were making. Little did they know that the returns they were receiving were just coming from the new money invested by their friends.
After all that is how a Ponzi scheme works. Named after, Charles Ponzi, the swindler from the 1920’s. The early investors are paid returns that are really just a percentage of the new money being invested. As long as the swindler keeps new money coming in, he can keep paying out supposed returns to unsuspecting early investors. But as this house of cards is being built, it just takes one little breeze in the form of a lack of new investors, and the whole house comes tumbling down. Not even all the kings’ horses or all the kings’ men can put that house of cards back together.
But, the reality is that Madoff and his predecessor, Ponzi, are rank amateurs. Madoff should really be promoted to the Graduate school of Ponzi schemes known as the U.S. Congress. These are the true masters of the Ponzi scheme. They have perfected their Ponzi scheme to the level of the Masters of the Universe. In fact we should change the name to the U.S. Pongress, or the Graduate School of Ponzi Madness!
The brilliance of the Ponzi Masters in congress is that they have brought it to the level that they take our money under the disguise of law. Under the threat of legal force and action. Through the fear of the IRS. These masters take our money either through campaign donations or public funding and buy our vote with promises they can never keep. Then we send them to Washington with suitcases full of our money, and we beg them to send a stipend of it back to us for this project or that. And we reward them by returning them to office on a regular basis. We the citizens of the United States are victims of our own folly, and willing participants in the biggest Ponzi scheme ever crafted.
Where is the outrage at the total inefficiency of sending billions of dollars to congress just so they can send some of it back to the states, all the while wasting most of it in the process? According to The Tax Foundation.org some states only receive cents back for every dollar they send to Washington. Most of us work well through April just to pay our tax burden. Now most Americans understand that we all need to pay our fair share to support the national defense of the nation, as well as other operation responsibilities of the country. But why we send all this money to D.C so they can just send it back to us is nothing short of insanity! We should keep that money at the state. At least we can then keep a closer eye on it at the local level. We have access to our local legislators. We can go knock on their door at least, and voice our outrage in their face. We can appeal much easier to our governors. But once we send people to Washington, they get swallowed up in the abyss of power, waste, corruption and yes, purveyors of the Grand Ponzi Scheme being perpetrated upon us all.
Thomas Jefferson said “Every generation needs a revolution and every citizen should be a soldier. This was the case with the Greeks and Romans, and must be that of every Free State.”
This does not necessarily mean actual peasants with pitchforks type of revolution, but an actual civil war fought with our vote as a weapon. The so called Civil War between the States was hardly civil. In fact it was one of the bloodiest wars in history. And though a great morale outcome was achieved, freedom from slavery, its other outcome was the strengthening of the federal government over the states. But if we are ever going to save this house of cards that is being created at the federal level, we must turn the taxing system in this country on its literal head.
With today’s technology and availability of information, there is no need for us to inefficiently send all these billions to Washington just so they can rubber stamp it and send it back to us. This has put his nation in a spiral of debt that will be a burden upon generations that have yet to be born.
Whichever side of the abortion or stem cell embryo issue you stand on, one has to admit that we need as many of these potential taxpayers to be born, in order to service the unbearable amount of debt that this generation has incurred. It is sad that a gleam in a daddy’s eyes which may potentially become a future human being, has already been burdened with an insurmountable amount of debt before birth.
The question is,” What are you prepared to do about it?” are you mad as hell and not going take it anymore?!? Or do you want to join the revolution and start the mutiny on this great ship we call the United States of America! Let us all start right here and right now. I ask you to just send this letter forward to at least ten people and to your congressmen and to your newspaper or anywhere else you can think of and start the ball rolling! Join this revolution with a few clicks of your mouse and make a statement! Let us send a billion or a trillion emails to match the trillions of dollars they have wasted in Washington D.C.! Let create an internet army to start, and then continue with the tax protest tea parties, and any other ideas we can do in a peaceful but effective way to create a revolution to save this house of cards before it blows down! Add your name below to this letter and pass it on!
